New Project!

I’ve started work on a new project! However, I’m not announcing what it is until I get something worth looking at. I just got a large part of the tile engine working, so once I get levels loading and a basic character movement, I’ll put out a tech demo or some screenshots. I’m super excited about this new project and I hope other people will be too!

Blown away

I was searching around today and found this amazing Tetra Master port for the Dingoo.

It kind of sucks knowing that there is a super amazing version of the same game I’m trying to do already out there.  I think I might start focusing on my next project and just leave Tetra Master where it is for now. We’ll see…

A new logo

The top screen of the previous screenshot was rather bland so I’ve updated the logo. I also learned extended palettes which means I don’t need to share palettes between backgrounds anymore!

Tetra Master is back on track

I’ve started working on Tetra Master once again! It will take me some time to learn all the new libnds stuff that has changed since I stopped. I’m also taking this opportunity to totally overhaul the code. I’m not writing it from scratch, but I’m doing a major restructuring. I’ve learned a lot in the past two years and it makes me cringe to look at my old code, let alone work with it.
